Because service never stops.
Because service never stops.
I was 17 years old...
When I first took an oath to the Constitution — an oath I have carried with me ever since. As the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, a retired police officer, and a nurse, I was raised to believe that service isn’t something you talk about. It’s something you live. My family taught me to show up for my community.
At 17, that path led me to the U.S. Army, where I later Commissioned as a Tank Commander. I learned responsibility, leadership, and what it means to put something bigger than yourself first. After the military, service didn’t stop. I continued it as a foster parent and advocate for children and families.
Now, I'm running for Congress in Virginia's First District. Running for office isn’t about a title. It’s about service.
It's about fighting.
Proposed Redistricting Maps
Hanover County, VA - This evening, the Virginia General Assembly released proposed congressional redistricting maps that the people will likely have a chance to vote on in April. I want to be clear: my commitment to this race does not change.
Whether the referendum passes in April or not, I will continue running in Virginia First Congressional District. I currently live in the First Congressional District and if the referendum passes, I will be drawn into the new First Congressional District. This district is my home.
